War Museums in Estonia

NB! Museum of the Estonian Military Academy is closed for renovation until the end of 2026. Since 2022 Museum of the Estonian Military Academy in Tartu is part of the Estonian War Museum – General Laidoner Museum. Its exposition focuses on the presentation of the Estonian Defense Forces and the Defense League during the periods of independence. The museum, which began as the Defence League archive in the early 1990s, operated under the authority of the Military Academy from 1998 to 2021. The Defence Academy Museum offers an overview of various weapons, medals, symbols, communications equipment, ammunition, pioneer equipment and much more that the Estonian Defence Forces and the Defence League have used over time.
